Ich habe folgendes Problem mit dem Spiel Evil Islands. Es lässt sich auf meinem XP-Rechner nicht spielen und ich finde auch keinen XP-Patch für das Spiel. Hat jemand von euch nähere Informationen?

Mh ja sag mal ein bissel mehr zu dem Game  und deinem PC. Und ob es schon mal lief. Soweit ich das sehe ist das Spiel schon ne weile alt.

Also auf dem Rechner unter Win2k lief das Spiel komischerweise läuft es unter XP nicht mehr, auf ner Seite hab ich gelesen das es mit dem neuesten Patch laufen sollte. Tuts aber nicht. Warum auch immer!

Aufjedenfall ist meine Evil Islands Version laut Readme von Sept. 2002 also jünger als der 1.6er Patch.

Wie gesagt das Spiel startet nicht mal bzw. schon, aber ich bleibe auf der Windows Ebene und mir wird ein Fehler angezeigt und ob ich diesen Fehlerbericht an Microsoft senden möchte oder nicht.

Schonmal den Kopatibilitätsmodus ausprobiert?

Ich hab mir mal die Probleme im Forum von Evil-Islands auf JoWood durchgelesen. Entweder ist mein Englisch nicht gut genug oder die wissen dort keine Lösung des Problems.

In dem Englischen Forum hat jmd. genau das gleiche Problem wie ich.

it could also be the resolution, try 1024x800 or 800x600 and put colour settings to 16 bit, if that doesn't work, the only other thing i can think of is that your comp lacks some DLL's perhaps, anyway good luck

Perhaps it's your drivers which don't comply with the game?

when problems like this occur I always turn sound off and all the graphics as low as possible

You know that options screen in the boot menu? The first pull down box where you can choose display driver? I notice huge differences in graphics when selecting primary display driver compared to video card... have you tried both of those? Just a thought...

Das hatte ich auch schon alles. Nur hilft es alles nichts! Naja, mal schaun vll. bekomme ichs durch rumprobieren wie die es dort sagen ja auch hin.

Ist das Spiel wirklich den Ärger wert?
Ich habe es früher mal gespielt und der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist enorm. Habe den ersten Kapitel durchgespielt und habe nachher aufgegeben, war einfach zu schwer.

Kaufe dir doch einen alten Rechner und hau Win 95 drauf. Dann kannst du alle alten Spiele spielen.

Das Spiel ist einfach gut. Wenn man raus hat wie man das Spielen muss ist es auch nicht mehr so schwer...

Ich krieg das Spiel nun wirklich nicht zum laufen. Und nun ist mir das auch egal! Vielleicht spiel ich nun Morrowind.^^
